Cookie Policy
This page is only available in English. We keep our legal pages in a single language so the exact wording — and your rights under it — never gets lost or changed in translation. If you use your browser’s built-in translation, treat it as a convenience only: the English text here is what applies.
Short version
- We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
- We store a few items in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
- Optional items (referral code, analytics) are used only with your consent where the law requires it.
- We honour Global Privacy Control signals.
1. What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Binder Blitz mostly uses a related technology, your browser’s localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in a similar way and are covered by the same laws (such as the UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy rules). This policy covers all of them. The legal pages you are reading now set no cookies and load no third-party scripts.
2. What we store
| Name / key | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
binderBlitz.accessToken (localStorage) | Keeps you signed in: the session token that proves who you are to our server | Until you sign out or it expires | Strictly necessary |
binderBlitz.refreshToken (localStorage) | Lets the app renew your session without asking for your password again | Until you sign out or it expires | Strictly necessary |
binderBlitz.userId, binderBlitz.user (localStorage) | Remember your account ID and basic profile (email, shop name, plan, credits) so pages can show them | Until you sign out | Strictly necessary |
binderBlitz.settings.v1, binderBlitz.titleTemplate, binderBlitz.pricingRules (localStorage) | Your store details, theme, title template and pricing rules, saved on your device because you asked us to remember them | Until you clear them | Strictly necessary (user-requested setting) |
binderBlitz.region.v1 and currency preference (localStorage) | Remembers the region and display currency you chose | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary (user-requested setting) |
binderBlitz.consent.v1 (localStorage) | Remembers your cookie and privacy choices so we do not keep asking | Until you change or clear it | Strictly necessary |
binderBlitz.chat (sessionStorage) | Keeps the current AI support chat on screen while you browse | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary (user-requested feature) |
binderBlitz.ref (localStorage) | Remembers the affiliate referral code from a link you followed, so the referrer can be credited if you sign up. Saved only if you consent where the law requires it | 60 days | Functional (consent required in the UK/EU) |
Service worker cache binder-blitz-v3 | A small fallback cache used only if your connection drops briefly; the app is otherwise loaded fresh from the network | Until replaced by a new version or cleared | Strictly necessary |
| Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no local storage) | Counts page views without cookies or personal profiles. Off unless the operator has configured it; where required by law, only after consent | Not stored on your device | Analytics (optional) |
We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3. Categories explained
- Strictly necessary. Needed to provide something you asked for, such as staying signed in or remembering a setting you saved. These do not need consent under UK/EU rules, so they are not switched off by a choice; you can still remove them through your browser, but the service may not work properly.
- Functional. Remember something to improve your experience or to credit a referral. In the UK and EU we use them only with your consent.
- Analytics. Statistics about use of the site. We use a cookieless analytics tool (Plausible) only if the operator has enabled it (not currently enabled), and where the law requires consent we ask first.
4. Third-party content that sees your IP address
Loading some pages fetches files from other companies, which means your IP address and browser details are sent to them, as happens with any web request. This is not the same as those companies setting cookies on our behalf, but we tell you for transparency:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): typefaces on the main site and tools. Your IP address is disclosed to Google when they load.
- flagcdn.com: country flag images in the region picker.
- jsDelivr and the Tailwind CDN: JavaScript libraries loaded in the Theme Builder and Image Studio, and the background-removal model files.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: only if enabled, a bot-protection challenge at sign-up (not currently enabled), which may use browser storage to tell humans from bots.
- Stripe and NOWPayments: when you go to pay you leave our site, and they may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Details are on our Sub-processors page.
5. Your choices
- Cookie settings. You can change your choices at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the main site at the home page. Your choice is saved in your browser under the key
binderBlitz.consent.v1. Clearing it makes us ask again. - Browser controls. You can view, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings (look for “Site data”, “Cookies” or “Storage”). Deleting
binderBlitz.accessTokenand related keys signs you out. - Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal data (which we do not do anyway) and as a decision not to enable optional functional or analytics storage.
- Do Not Track. There is no common standard for DNT; we do not track you across other sites in any case.

6. Changes
If we add a new type of storage we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for consent before using it. Questions: keironjwest@gmail.com.
